Pete Lockett’s clinic/performance is an incredibly dynamic, entertaining and informative showcase of drumming and percussion from every part of the globe. The exploration of world rhythms is complemented by subtle sound design, electronics and captivating visuals. The combination of sound textures, powerful pulsing grooves and virtuosic solos has captivated & entertained audiences worldwide & reflects Pete’s work with artists such as Peter Gabriel, Björk, Jeff Beck, Robert Plant and also on five ‘007 Bond’ movies.

 The relationship between drum set and percussion is explored in depth with a focus on odd time signatures, solo and theme development, rhythmic modulations, sticking ideas and orchestration of Indian rhythms and percussion ideas on drum set and percussion.

 On the strength of his solo shows, Pete was twice voted #1 BEST WORLD PERCUSSIONIST by the readers of DRUM magazine in the USA.

 Pete returns to AUDW this year at 4:15pm in concert on Saturday 25^th August, featuring his ‘All New’ percussion & drum kit unique set up.
