Gary France’s association with AUDW extends beyond 20+ years. Best known to the DRUMscene family as the driving force behind PERCUSscene magazine.

 Gary performs, teaches and records in numerous genres including jazz, world, contemporary and classical music. With over 30 years’ experience as Professor of Drums and Percussion at WAAPA and the ANU SOM, Gary mentored many of Australia's leading drummers and percussionists as well as performing with a vast array of Australian and international artists.

Gary is currently the Director of theGroove Warehouse, Canberra.

 Daniel Susnjar is a Western Australian drummer/composer/producer/educator known internationally for his expertise in the field of Afro-Peruvian Jazz. He has performed and recorded with music legends including Chick Corea, Bobby McFerrin, Steve Miller, Terence Blanchard and Dave Grusin, and has toured throughout the USA, Peru, Australia, Asia and the Caribbean Islands.

As leader of the Daniel Susnjar Afro-Peruvian Jazz Group, he has won multiple awards including the 2017 APRA/AMCOS Art Music WA State Award, the 2017 and 2016 WAM awards for Best Jazz Act, and the 2016 WAM award for Best Drummer/Percussionist.

 The Gary France 7-piece Latin Jazz Project will make their AUDW debut performance at 1:15pm Saturday 25th August in concert with a Tribute to the father of Latin Jazz: Cal Tjader. Mambo with this high-energy supergroup as it celebrates the release of Gary's 2018 CD.
